IS THE CRASH OVER?

We all know the last 4 to 5 years have been pretty brutal for San Diego home prices.  However, there may be some light at the end of tunnel.

San Diego's median home price has gone up 23% in 13 months - from $320K in Feb 2009 to $393K in March 2010. We're still a long ways from prices at the top of the market in 2006 and I'm not sure where we'll go from here, but it's been a dramatic bounce up from the bottom for sure!

Take a look at the data ...

You'll notice the bottom of the market was February 2009 with a median price of $320K. Since then we've surged in price to $393K. Quite a bounce.

The trend of price recovery becomes very obvious when you look at this graph.  It charts a particular month's price in comparison to the same month in the preceeding year.  For example, the median price in March 2010 is 20% HIGHER than the price in March 2009. Pretty amazing when you see each month charted out like this.

I'll keep you posted on changes from here!
